Default keyless access observations

when the C6 first came out I thought the keyless access was a gimmic and would have just as soon it was not on my new vette. HOWEVER--It is winter here in Mo. and When I go out to my other cars with my coat on and my hands full I always find myself thinking that if only they had the same system the vette had I would not have to fumble thru all my pockets to see where I put my keys. As long as I had the keys on me I could just get in, start the car and leave instead of standing out in the cold looking for my keys. I know I should make sure where the keys are before I go out but with the vette, hyou don't have to worry. Just go out open the door, push the button and go, and when I get out the car locks its self without me having to think about it. Just wondering what everyone else thinks about this.

I love this feature as well. Not a gimmick to me at all. And it isn't even cold in SoCal

I don't haul groceries in my daily driver vette, but I do get fast-food takeout and just about everything else. It's not unusual for me to have my hands full getting in the C6 or getting out of the C6.

It's especially nice to get in it and drive off without taking off my gloves.

I wouldn't trade anything for the keyless entry/start.

The keylees access/power up/down/lock/etc. is one of the coolest, most efficient attributes of the C6. I wish my C4 had it...

I for one think it's a great feature of the C6.

Just another reason for enjoying the keyless feature: a couple of days ago I parked a non-Vette in my driveway and locked it with the remote - or so I thought. During the night stuff was stolen from my car without a break in. Obviously I had been too complacent that the remote had indeed locked the car. Now if I had parked the Vette instead . . . . .

I love it too. Why don't ALL cars have keyless access and starters, as well as HUDs! Just makes things easier and safer.

Mark my words, in 10 years I bet the average car will have keyless everything and a HUD.

Okay, I must come clean here. I have stated in the past that I would rather not have it. But I must admit that I now like it. I still don't like the bulge in my pants because I have to carry the FOB in my pocket all the time (insert tacky comment here___________). I wish the FOB were smaller (the FOB, I said!). But I can live with it.

I love the keyless system, I have been driving my truck and all I can say is keys are a pain in the ***. Someday I may be able to drive my C6 again and enjoy its cool features. It was supposed to get into the 50s and sunny here according to the weather channel. But for some reason we have cloudy, cold, and freezing fog. This snow is never going to melt.

Great feature! My problem is when I'm in other cars and I go to get out, grab the arm rest and try to push the button with my thumb.

It is one of the best features that I never thought would make the difference it does... What a cool idea.. My friend got in yesterday and was amazed by it..

HUDs have been around for at least a decade, but the only place you can find them (that I'm aware of) is the Corvette and various Pontiac products... Does anything else have a HUD?

A great feature- it is another part of the whole C6 experience that makes this the best car I've ever owned. The buff mags critique it but they ought to live with the car and then they'd realize this is a fantastic feature that makes life easier.
