Roof popped - glued.
Roof popped again - replaced with "new" top.
The replacement top took about 2 weeks to get.
This all happened in the last 1.5 month.
New paint looks better than factory.
Interior does seem to be a little less tight.
Overall = ok.

Update 07-25-06
I was driving on a highway and I thought some duct tape on my $70K car would be good until the new roof came in when a guy in a new 350Z tells me to pull over. I thought he was angry at something but he was screaming at me that me roof was about to come off. Obviously the car is now parked until the roof comes in and gets painted and installed.

keep the entries/updates coming...
does anyone know the official date the new roof started showing up on production line? late 06 models? or for the 07s only? I thought I remembered reading something about May 31st and this roof debacle (latest) fix?

Top made noise after 2mos. I put up with the noise until the top was litterly falling off. Approx. 9 months and 10k later.

I have vehicle #450 delivered in October 2005. My roof began making noises after I changed the oil at about 2200 miles. The car was jacked up symmetrically. Thus even minor deflections are enough to compromise the adhesive. I believe every one of these roofs will be unsafisfactory in some regard. Many will come off. Others will make noise compromising the quality of the vehicle. In either event they should all be replaced. This sould not in my view be a dealer item. The roofs should come fully assembled and painted from a remanufacturing facility to ensure consistent quality.
