Default Headers

I'm sure someone here has done it so the question is,how difficult to install LG's headers in C6 Z06. Did the install myself in my 04 Z and it was pretty straightforward. Anything to watch out for on the LS7 motors?

I would personally go another direction. The LG's require re-routing of main oil supply lines and puts them very low such that they are lowest parts under the car. Perhaps there's a way to install so this is not the case but if so, I'm not aware. That's the case on my car.

If you're smart, you'll select headers based on cost, installation effort/fit etc. as I for one don't believe the performance differences among the "major" brands are worth agonizing over.

What kind of RWHP gains can you expect with some LT headers?

So with that in mind, how difficult is it to install the AR headers? Do you just have to remove the oil line and then reinstall it when you put them in? I Installed them on my c6 with no problems and am trying to figure out what is different from the base c6. Thanks.

Default LG Headers

I installed myself the LG headers. You do not have to re-routing the oil lines just move the bracket slightly down. I personally did not like the slip fit on the exhaust pipe, I installed 3" VClamp at the CAT for easier removal.
I am very happy with the service and advise from Anthony at LG Motorsports, it can not be any better. They have tuned the computer as well.
I never dyno the engine as I do not care but I know I am faster then a stock ZO6. I love the sound as well.
You can see the installation at http://web.mac.com/lemobile/iWeb/CAR/ZO6.html

Lembobil - Just curious why you didn't use the same type of clamp through out the exhaust system

Default VClamp

With one set of VClamp and slip fit at the muffler (like the factory) you can remove the system in minutes. It was no need to add them to each pipe of the system.

The seats (my wife call them my baby seats) I love them but I am not sure they are for everyone, when I redid each cushion I really did it for me adding foam here and there till I was happy. If you are a large person you might need a tow truck to take you out of the car.

I deleted my original comment because I was too angry from the erroneous posts.

No one should falsely, and knowingly injure another's business.

I had one of the early LGM LT sets and they went on my car at 400 mi. and my car now has 8,400 mi. Absolutely -0- problems. I had them installed by my old-school installers and they had not problems other than to remark that it is of course easier to complete installs on vehicles like trucks that have more room underneath.

No re-routing of oil lines or anything else. No leaks. No scorching of anything. The only challenge was stringing the 02 extensions--just tight spaces. You WILL get a check engine light that can be turned off with tuning.

So basically, I disagree with everything jrz1 has to say. It is not reflected in my direct experience.

I have no affiliation with LGM and I paid regular prices from my LTs and Tune.

It is attractive to me that LGM has actual racing experience and the parts are race tested rather than tested in "puffing" net threads.

That said, I have no reason to believe that the LTs from other mfgs. are not great products as well.

Whichever LTs you add, it will definitely change the character of your car. Much louder on throttle, louder at idle, resonance below 2,000 rpms on light throttle. Just to be expected with thinner than OEM manifolds and more volume.

Good Luck!

Mako7 what are you trying to say?
By the way you can not re-route the line unless you will make a complete new set, the only thing you can do is to lower them by approx. 1/2". I do not see any problem with this. I am very happy with the performance and LG Motorsports services. Lou know better then anyone else about Corvette, you just have to watch him driving in the Speed World Challenge.
