Default Window Indexing Quit Working - Help!

The driver's side window is not indexing correctly. What is happening is that the window will not go all the way back up. Then I can roll the window up but when I open the door the window indexes down but not back up. This occurred after the battery went dead. I had to open the door using the cable release. I recharged the battery and the problem continues.

Any ideas?

Default Procedure

Did you follow the procedure? Roll window all the way down and then roll up and hold switch till you hear the click ( about 3 seconds) Your window should be fine then. Do the same to the other side.

Thank you, that fixed the problem. My procedure was lacking one important detail: I rolled the window all the way down and back up but I had failed to hold the button on for the 3 seconds.

I think you should get yourself looked at by a doctor.

I wonder if you caught the, "Icanhavesomeonelookitupformeitis".

Usually starts with forgetfulness, forgeting how to do things for oneself.

Actually, no I don't have that problem and I like to do things for myself and I don't mind helping others on the forum. Most often I'm the giver of advice rather than the other way around. I think the dead battery/cable release threw me off on this one.

I'm just busting your chops.

I had the same thing with the indexing happen and could not remember what it was called and had to come on here and ask.

I was so pissed that I couldn't find it in the manual, spent probably 30 min. reading about the windows and not knowing what indexing was.
