Here are some of the first pics of how this monster will appear.

Here's a shot of the rear quarter with a nice fat lip. That's a mock seat in there temporarily.

This splitter will help create the needed downforce. Yes, it's also Carbon Fiber.

Here you can see one of the side skirts. They integrate with the rear quarter and extend the body very close to the ground.

The pedal assembly I showed last post is being about fitted. That V looking bracket holding the steering column will be removed and replaced with a bracket on the top of the roll cage pictured.

If all goes as planned ( ) the car should go to paint by the end of next week.

Since this is purely for fun, I don't want to cover the car in the standard race garb with supplier stickers. I want a simple but aggressive paint scheme. I'd love to hear your suggestions! Save room for the name Katech somewhere.

Mike, your car has really come a long way. It's going to be incredible when it's all finished. You can't go wrong with any paint scheme.

Nice work Adam, all look sharp as hell. .

roboz,

As usual, thanks for the nice remarks.

As Rob Schneider has said many a time:

How about a white nose, fading into yellow.
They are both light colors so it wont be such a stark contrast.
I'm in love with your project man!

Maybe the C5 CE Z06 paint scheme updated to the C6 bodystyle? The C5Rs wore it too and I always enjoyed it.

Maybe "Katech" at the bottom corner of the side skirt near the rear wheel on both sides. Heh, I'm telling you stuff like it's mine being made. Can't wait to see it painted regardless of what scheme you choose.

I like that idea but:

The problem with a white nose is it would be covered with rubber. It is not fun cleaning a car after it comes off the track. You can't hose off rubber.

Don't be silly, If I knew exactly what I wanted I never would have asked! Keep brainstorming!

Do you see yourself having any track time soon? Can you press the clutch in?

I can, it starts to bother me after about fifteen minutes of 294 traffic driving to physical therapy. I'm working on getting doctor's clearance to do One Lap. I am going to be up at RA for the MFBA event as an instructor. He said I should be okay for the NCM VIR event. He did not give me the clearance to go back to work. Band is on tour in Australia and will be in Europe in May. We don't start up the summer tour till August. Hopefully I'll be able to get track time in before then
