Jeff Gordon's Z06 - Raffle
During the pre-race interviews of the NASCAR race yesterday, Jeff Gordon gave a quick plug for the raffle he is hosting for his personal Z06. Benefits go to helping kids with chronic life-threatening illnesses. Great way to get a celebrity-owned Z06 (we all know celebrity-owned cars bring more money at reasle per B-J auctions!) $100/ticket; only 3500 tickets to be sold. Here's the link:

Damn...only 3500 tickets@$100/ticket? That's $350,000. I can buy all of them, get that car, and come back to the CF and sell it for $100,000!...wait...that's no deal.

I'm just responding to the dude who posted here last week trying to sell a Ron Fellows car for $100K+, that's all.Just my idea of a little C6-Z06 facetious humor.

Not Tax Deductable
Just for everyones information the raffle tickets are not tax deductable. It says that right on the bottom of the letter after you buy the ticket. Still a good cause. Just wanted to let everone know if your doing it for the tax deduction, NOT. JD

I'm in!!
Noticed it said "winner must be present" -- good thing they notify you ahead of time. Also pretty nice that I live about 35 mins from the speedway.
Glad to help a good cause.
EDIT: vetdude - THANKS for letting us know about this!
good luck, jim! (if I dont mind saying so myself LOL. 1-in-3500 chance. not bad.

It says this on the front page...
The drawing will be held on October 30, 2007 and Jeff will hand over the keys to one lucky winner on November 4th at Texas Motor Speedway (if the winner is present).
Did it say more on other pages?
Either way it's $100 to a good cause.

not sure, mike -- yes, i was referring to the "(if the winner is present)" part -- didnt see any other verbage to that effect on the official rules. i interpreted it as the winner must be there to receive the prize from jeff in person...could be wrong?
