This car has no restrictions. It may be quicker, but again, that may depend on who's driving it! The technology in the C6R is simply amazing. I'm sure I will fall short in that comparison.

Currently it's intended use is to be an ultimate road race car. I have no immediate class plans to compete with it but we do have races at my track which I will enter.

You can't believe how many people have said that to me. I want one on my Z06 as well.

The high wing will also have the vertical ends on each side which haven't been installed yet.

I settled for the full width GM spoiler that just came out.

Mike,
It's funny to go back to the first post at the end of November and look at the "before" pictures. Then go to this post and look again.

INSANITY. Hey short throw have you made any decisions on tires/rims/brakes...etc?? The car looks amazing! CONGRATS! If that was my car I don't think anybody would be able to pry me out of the driver seat for at least a month after I received the keys. Probably would keep a pillow in the passenger seat just in case I needed to camp out in that baby.

I love that wing. I'd add one immediately if I didn't think it would slow me down, not to mention the required front splitter. That wing would cost me $ 100k by the time all of the other 'supporting' parts were added, ie; splitter, Katech tuned engine, updated brakes, sequential trans, etc. Damn heroin . . . I mean Corvette hobby . . .

I'll stick with my little C5, and buy a spot at AutobahnGarage

Looks great to me so far. Thanks for posting pictures. Hope you've been cataloging everything you've done, then you could compile all the pictures, notes and shop references into a book "How to build your own Corvette race car" and sell it.

I will be running Pirelli Slicks. The rims will be FIKSEs. The brakes will be Brembo GTR monoblocs. ....and 'etc' need to be more specific.

I actually plan on being in both seats as I am looking forward to professional instruction.

As far as camping out, I may need to as it'll be a workout just getting in/out of the darn thing! I can certainly see myself sleeping next to it with my arm around a tire. :o

It's not complete yet. It will be recessed back a little further into the rear. The outside vertical fins will be added as well.
