Michelin Pilot Sport Cups 325/30-19
I saw an article in Road & Track (July 2007) on the new Ruf RGT. It was listed as having Michelin Pilot Sport Cups in the rear - size 325/30-19. Of course I went to the Michelin website and they didn't have that size listed. I thought it may have been a typo since Porsche uses 305/30 rears as standard, so I went to the Ruf website. The RGT is listed as having 19x12.5 rear wheels using 325/30 tires. Michelin many not have them listed on their website, but I think our prayers may have been answered for stickier rubber for our Z06s!
I'm wondering if these tires are going to be an option on the Z06 or standard on the "Blue Devil?" There's been a lot of talk that the new cars will be on Michelin rubber.

(By the way, the Rug RGT is $258,000)

So far they were never available. Let's do some more searching, this is good news!

I agree, he may get them on a special order (maybe a part of the reason the car is so much money), but it's just too coincidental that the size is EXACTLY the same as the Z06.
I HOPE, I HOPE, I HOPE!!!!

Based on my personal experience here in Seattle, unless you live where it is always dry and above 60 degrees F, the MPSCs do not make a good street tire. Very slippery!
And for those that do live in the correct climate, I hate you!

Well, maybe it was not a mis-print. Check out the Road and Track article, they also quote the 325/30/19 size!!

I called Michelin and they ARE going to make the 325/30/19....but not until next summer. But they said it is definitely on the production schedule. STILL GREAT NEWS!

I guess Ruf gets some special attention, but at least they are going to make them. Like I said earlier, the timing looks to be very close to the next super vette. Maybe they will be an option!
Weapons,
That is the article I first saw and then checked out the Ruf website to make sure it wasn't a typo. Good work at calling Michelin!

These are very popular tires in the Porsche world and work great. BUT, they are very temperature sensitive. They have to have perfect tire pressures and operate very well in a small heat window. I doubt you'll have enough heat in them to work properly driving around. I'd prolly opt for the Pirelli Corsas. Plus they work in the rain. Just my $.02
