My local Discount Tire store says that I can mount Z06 size rubber (275/35/18 Front & 325/30/19 Rear) on the stock (2008) C6 rims. He says he has mounted a 335 size tire on a 10 inch rim before and says that a 325 tire on the rear rim would not be a problem.

Needless to say I am highly doubtful. Has anyone tried this before? I am thinking that even if the tires fit on the rim, I might have problems with rubbing or the tires sticking out from the fenders.

Anyone have any experience with this?

your tire guy is an idiot. the 325 tire calls for a wheel from 12-13"

your rear wheelis 10 inches. it would be unsafe and look stupid if you could even shoe horn the tire on the wheel. i have seen C6 guys put the 325 on an 11" but thats outside of the specs as well for the GY 325 and it also looks poofy and stupid. the largest tire i'd do on the rear is a 295 and maybe a 305 if you go to an 11" wide wheel
