does anyone regret getting a Z
Does anyone wish they would have went with a base vette over there Z for any reason? I'm trying to talk myself out of spending the $$$.
About the only thing I can come up with is I can take my top off, nice but I hardle ever do. And my coupe might get less attention from the haters/vandals.

I would have to say that I really had to stretch the budget to get my Z06 in 06'. You would think that might give me some buyers regret... but I am 100% pleased and would do it all over again!! I love the car! I am planning on keeping it for sometime. It is the best combo of all things great in a sports car... It looks great, it's VERY fast and it handles great.... not to mention it does pretty good on gas. Yes it is one of the best overall sports cars ever made IMO!! The standard C6 with it's optional 436hp is a very close second... but it is 9/10 of the way to the Z06. Considering that a new 08' Z can be had at deep discounts, the time has never been better. Go for it!!!

Been a Vert lover all my life. Got rid of a nice DSOM 05 Vert to get my 07 Z.
To be honest I do miss the Vert on certain days, but the power & handling of the Z makes that feeling go away.

I'm a relately new buyer (4 weeks) and went from a 2004 CE coupe directly to the 2008 Z for a couple of reasons. I like the looks of the Z over the C6 and after driving the Z06's at Spring Mountain I was hooked on the power. Discount pricing had a big part to do with it also. No regrets at all!

My only regret - resale values suck.
I've owned a bunch (see profile) and the Z is by far the worst when it comes to resale value. To be fair, the Economy doesn't help much either

Went from an 05 z51 6sp coupe to an 08z and it was definitley worth it. I rarely took the top off of my coupe so that wasn't really an issue. The z costs me $400 a month more and is worth every penny. You won't regret it. The difference in performance and looks is uncompareable. I now own my dream car. Enough said.

In all honesty I do a little bit. I don't need the extra 70 or so HP over the LS3. I wish I had bought the convertable and put the Z06 wide body kit on it. 430HP is more than enough and if I want more I could always easily increase the LS3.
There is just no substitute for me to have the open top.

You guys are not doing a very good job of talking me out of it!
When I take mine into get inspected next month I guess I'll see what they would do on a trade, that might make my mind up on way or the other. Hate to loose to much on a car that is in perfect shape with 2000mi.

I had the same worry as I really did enjoy being able to remove the top on my C5 coupe. I bought my 07 Z06 in September 2006 so you all know I didn't get a "deal" and was fully awaire that if I waited I could be looking at what they are going for today. That being said quess what: I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN ! if you can do it go for it you will not regret it especially with the deals that are out there today.
