Looks great Mike. Good job Adam.
I will take the liberty of commenting on a minor error in the translation from Adam's paper to the actual car. The yellow/black line now goes through the handle but hits the top of the fender too far forward of the rear wheel. Not as flowing as the original drawing. The "haunches" look too squared off. Just my .02

You are correct, but they are not translation errors!
Some of the lines on paper do not automatically translate equally to the car. Think of a map vs. a globe. This is something I just learned recently. A flat piece of paper is just that, flat. We taped up the car with many line variations and what resulted was not arbitrary. I'm happy with the result so I guess it is officially a job well done.
It would be neat to see the comments if Adam's rendition was never shown.
Thanks for the honest thoughts Rob, I still love ya!

You know I meant no harm and that I have the greatest respect for you. I'm just looking out for my buddy.
I thought maybe you missed that. It looks like you'll have some issues with the red strip above the haunches with the way it is now.

I'm no design maven, notwithstanding that:
Adam's design would look very different and “unbalanced” if we removed the red accents and left the rest unchanged.
The reason the yellow section running across mike's doors may look "slightly off" isn't because it's painted incorrectly, it's because the red stripe above is missing. Once the trim is added, I suspect the car will look optimally balanced.
Ergo, the car paint job is thru 2 of 3 steps. If it looked complete at this stage, something would actually be awry.
Let the man finish.

First, many thanks on the kudos..I had a great design to start off with (thanks to LG), we just started messing with colors and came up with what you see.
Like others have said these renderings that I offer the owner of the car and the painter a guide to what the final outcome will look like. On snitz car we have come up with many different renderings and ultimately picked one similar to Mike's. Like Mike said, he and his painter had to nail out the details when it came to painting. The lines of the car are completely different in 2D and when it comes to real life, but like I said, what I do is just a guide, thus the reason for the differences.
Can you imagine if Mike went to the painter without a plan? That could waste a lot of time for the painter and Mike.
The car is looking awesome! I am very excited to see something that I had a part in at the track!
Thanks Mike for allowing me to be a part of your beast!

Looks GREAT, Mike. I agree, the red will add a lot. It is almost time to rock and roll again.

It's tough to compare a paint job if you think the guide is the final word. Robvuk and yourself bring up a good observation but if you never saw the sketch you wouldn't feel this way because there would be nothing to compare it to.. This isn't a scale drawing of a bridge.
Adam presented many options, I only posted the ones that were close to what I wanted. The wing is one example of a small change. The line down the side of the car is another. The rear end which I haven't shown yet is also different.
Look at this example:
Look how the number 13 sits on the fender in the drawing versus the real car: fenders are round not flat...the side view on paper doesn't show how pronounced the headlights really are...imagine the actual car without some of the silver highlighting.....there are two Orange swooshes back to back on the car, not in the drawing.
As far as too late? You'll have a great head start when you paint your car!
Oh, and BTW..I still have the code if you ever want to go that route!
