New APR Performance Chin Splitter Installed!
On Friday I took my Z to APR performance in SoCal to have them install their carbon fiber chin splitter.
All I can say is IMPRESSIVE! See the APR or Burseth Racing website for photos, but they do not do the piece justice!
It is beautiful, glass smooth, real carbon fiber, does not stick out too far, retains the brake cooling ducts, and generally follows the contours of the front of the car. The connection points are very smooth so it looks very OEM. High bling factor!
Of course, you must be more careful with driveways, parking, etc. It protrudes probably about 2".
Thanks Burseth and APR!

I want one too but since my new coilovers are going to lower my car another 3/4 of an inch am I simply asking for trouble. For the guys with the chin are you scraping it all the time? Please provide insight.

I'm lowered on stock bolts. I can get around no problem, sometimes I need to be extra
careful pulling out of a gas station or whatever but I don't think I could get around with
coil overs and this lip BUT that depends how far you drop her. I could go about another 1/2 inch and
probably not destroy it..

Ordered mine from Burseth this morning. He has a great price on this piece, about $155 off the retail price. Hope it works out for me and it won't be too much scraping for such a nice piece...

OMG...
PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
lol! Have you noticed any differences in handling, be it negative or positive? I'm about 98% sure i want one but i want to make sure i don't need to add the wing in order to balance the car out if the chin spoiler gets the car to upset.

You can visit the APR Performance website and view pictures. I purchased the front splitter and rear wing after SEMA but have not installed either. Splitter will be going on next month before car meets the outdoors again. Rear wing I'm just not sure about and may sell. Both APR Performance carbon fiber pieces seem to be first class.

Yes, at high speed straights like Road Atlanta and VIR, over 150 mph, I would feel a little lift. Now, the cars seems to just sit down, and the rear end stays planted on high speed corners. I have also added T1 sway bars and LG coilovers.
