Looking at buying a used Z06. I was wondering which color is the hardest to find used ? What's the most popular color?

Daytona Sunset Orange Mettalic
It was only made in 2006 and only 282 were made with that color.

Good luck finding one.. they appear on ebay once in a while.

I would guess white would be the second hardest to find used.

when i was looking for used, half of them would always be yellow. i found a good mix of black, blue and red. and the orange and silver were few and far between.


i decided to go new though. all the used cars in my area were selling for low to mid $60's and i bought my new one for $68.

DSOM is very hard ot find. We happen to see one in the paper and having a DSOM coupe already got us thinking. Well it was to hard to pass up But I have only seen one or two on the net at one time. Some people seem them locally guess you gotta really search if you want one. Lemans is probly the next hardest to find, I dont see them very often around me.

DSOM is a good choice. As for the most popular colors it seems black, red and yellow. All colors looks good on corvettes.

.. and for 2008, JSB would certainly be added to the "most popular colors" list. Very common.

I wanted AO, and it was very hard to find used. New, not too bad, but they didnt last long.

I own a 2006 Z06 Daytona Sunset Orange. I am also selling this car should you be interested. Car has every option except navigation, transparent bra, custom wheels. 8k total miles [/U][/U]and still under factory warrenty. Never driven in the rain and always garaged and covered.

If you're looking for the most rare color from 06 or 07 model years, it would have to be JSB, because there are NONE! lol. After that, it's the 06 DSOM.

I heard recently AO was going to be a 2008 color only. Is there any way to find out how many have been produced??

Atmoic Orange was introduced for the 2007 production year and ran through 2008. It's set to be replaced by the upcoming Cyber Gray, often seen on the Corvette ZR1.

Doh!!! I meant to say AO was not going to be available after 2008 model year. I'm guessing someone has 2007 production numbers?? Might be able to guesstimate total AO numbers from that. I'm sure it will be double that of DSOM anyway...
