The trick is to get ALL the "honey-do's" done...or just do a remodel on the kitchen for her...
THEN, wait a few months and say "I was thinking about improving my workspace in the garage" and remind her that you spent a fortune on the kitchen.
She might go for it easily then...

I'm proud of mine and don't usually mind posting pics of it but I suddenly feel inferior posting in this thread. That has to be one of the nicest garages I have ever scene.
Now I have a frame of reference when designing building my next garage.

Nice garage! Show that bad boy off. I'll post pics of mine under the "Budget" garage section. Delux home depot painted floor with a single air hose. 2x4 & plywood shelves. But I do have a Z in it, so I got that going for me...Which is nice

Just needs to be TALLER so you can get a lift in it.
Our outside walls start at 14', so there is plenty of room to put a lift in it.
Did you tile the floor and then cover it with epoxy?
And you have something I don't (yet)...a Z06 to park in it.
Too bad you can't drive it year-round like we can here in Texas

Tiled the floor and then polished and sealed it with your standard tile friendly liquids.
The next garage will be built in Texas or Arizona. I already have a page of notes for features/ design cues I want to incorporate. Have friends in the Austin area I will be visiting next month. Going to look around at jobs and land while there. I'm not native to WA and I sorely miss the sun!!!

Must be fun when you need to get to the Z06 on the lift...got a few "average" cars to move around to get to it.
Had a friend when I was just out of school with a '70 Black Hemi Cuda and HIS best friend had a '70 Black Hemi Charger (E74 4.10 4-speed)...street racing at its very best!
LOVE that '67 Big Block!!!!
