No surprise here. Anyone old enough to remember the debut of the original 1990 ZR-1 will understand. Some dealers were asking $100k for those cars. Today they're worth $25k-$30k used. Note to self...

Easy solution, send your C6 to Lpe, Callaway, or other first rate tuner for a Maggie install at half the price & you won't be limited to a non see thru removable roof with manual 6 speed only! For a street car, you won't notice much difference, & you can have a vert or coupe.

An $18,500 alternative (just add Corvette from dealer inventory).
580 bhp, 510 lb-ft torque. Coupe or Convertible, manual or automatic transmission.

I started a thread "naming names" trying to get us to specify the dealers we are speaking of and the conditions under which the "deal" was made. There are a great many claims and avoidance of naming dealers, these threads are defeating our purpose, if it is to try to make the best deal for those who wish to purchase the car and to support good dealerships. All dealers have allocation numbers. Either your dealer is BS'ing you, or they do not know how to check their allocation that come via computer and not a letter in the mail.
