mine wont, and speaking for my self, .I don't even play the radio all that much when driving my Z. I like to listen to a differant kind of music [the engine] A movie playing in my car would probably distract me enough to get me into trouble. Not always but sometimes while driving around in my area, I am frequently confronted with making some pretty fast decisions regarding defensive driving to avoid getting into an accident. Just today someone pulled out right in front of me and had i not anticapted it or been looking the other way i am sure i would have hit them. i have also noticed that larger or taller SUV,s don,t seam to see you if you are in there blind spot because the vet is so low. Just me mabie but no movies in the car for me!!!

The system as it comes from the factory can not play movies because that is illegal in most, if not all states. I don't know if there is a way to modify the player so you can, but I wouldn't want anyone to see it. Notice all the cars that come with DVD players have the screens in the back seat.

I don't understand why you would want to watch movies in this car. It's not a family Van.....

why does it matter why he wants to do it? the question is, is it possible? i am interested in the answer as well. as it would be nice for a passenger on long trips.

i have found that the lockpick says it will allow for an aux video input. but that means you still need a 12v DVD player.

Yes it can be done but it's not cheap. I looked into doing it awhile ago and concluded it would be wiser to buy an after market. If you send in your stock unit to have modified, there is no longer ANY warranty on it. Here's a few links of companies I found modifying C6 Nav units:

I personally would love to do this so I can listen to my live music DVD's. There is a ton of recorded "live in concert" DVD's that simply are not available as CD's. I have no desire to watch a movie while I am driving. But what better place to listen to a live concert than your car.
