From Iraq:New to the Forum
Well i was home on leave and i saw a 08 3lz black Z06 at the dealership and i just had to have it. They took 5,000 off the sticker for me and gave me a good trade in for my Srt-10 Ram. I love the car, i only got to drive it for a month before i came back to Iraq. I cant wait to get home to drive her. I sales man didnt take me serious at first because i am 25 years old. I look forward to talking with you guys here.

Welcome to the club!
I was 26 when I bought mine and my local dealer treated me like crap too. The folks at the BMW dealership next door were incredible. Too bad the Chevy dealer couldnt see the value in service.
The two red cars next to the Snake - drool!! F430 and FGT?

Congratulations on the new Z06! What color interior does it have? My black Z has the Sienna interior. Thanks for serving for us all and get home soon!

how in the hell you can afford a supersnake and a new z06 on a military salary at your age. Deployment money is not that good is it

I am 38 but look a bit younger and strolled into my local dealer (last saturday) with my 9 and 11 year old in tow just to eyeball some Z06's. Turns out they had a brutal deal on a 2007 Z06 so I started talking shop and the guy almost fell over. (I was dressed like I was mowing my lawn as I hadn't intended to buy that day.)
After we started talking payment, I said I would buy it outright without financing I think he as I looked like I'd walked up out of the ditch.
My personal opinion is that I am youngish for most Z owners...25 is crazy....Im jealous. There are a number of ways for young guys to afford these. My wife passed this year and my kids get 950 a month until 18 which goes into a college fund. If they went ROTC or academy (I considered back in the day) then they will have a nice chunk of unused cash.
