Nope. But DBS is a common problem and a battery tender is recommended...

When the C6 came out in 2005, GM added a nasty little glitch of having to leave your manual transmission in Reverse or it would drain the battery.
That was the only year.

It's a small charger that keeps the battery at optimal charge levels. You basically keep it attached to the car when not in use for long periods and the car will start right up no matter how long its been.

I brought my Z into the dealer after jump starting it. Everthing checked out fine. I was told, leaving it in reverse activates the sleep mode and thus, less drain. I was also told, when OnStar dose it's monthly check on your car, it remains on for 48 hours and dose drain the battery too. Check out www.batterytender.com. DBS, is dead battery syndrome. It happens to other makes of cars that are not driven every day.
