There is a difference between "somewhat agressive" and abuse on tracks. While we don't know how this car was used, we don't know how it was used!
$105K may be reasonable for what it is, but if I could afford $105, I'd like to think that I could afford another $10k for one that has zero miles on it and is exactly what I want. Sure, we might not be able to get one for $115 today, but it won't likely be long.
But there is no doubt that someone will jump on it - and more power to them. Odds are it will hold up fine, and it has a long enough drivetrain warranty that at least they will pay for any premature failures.

Just the paint abuse alone would be enough reason for me not to buy it. A few times through the GM car wash, and the paint is going to have swirl marks galore. Add to that the ground gears, slipped clutch pothole strikes, windshield chips and paint chips while tailgating trucks, overweight people with key chains dragging themselves over the seat bolsters, smoking in the car, the list goes on. Ever seen a rental car at 9000 miles? Yes, well cared for, except by the people driving it. Picture one that has been driven harder, and that's what you've got. It might be worth a $10K discount for a few people who's cars look awful at that mileage anyway, but probably not for most on this forum.

Food for thought... if it was used at the track doesn't that void the warranty should you need to make a claim?? Pretty sure that's what the new disclaimer says that GM sent to all the dealerships telling them to make sure they inform new owners about. I guess before I bought a used ZR1 from a dealer I would require something in writing that GM certifies it was not a track car. Not sure how all that's going to work, but certainly an issue that is going to have to be addressed now that we are seeing used ZR1's on the market.

But they will have some disclaimer saying something like - warranty will not be void if it were used at a GM sanction event?

There will be many questions about the longevity of this ride. I'm still waiting for pics.

This is the first time I have heard of this. In the past, GM would crush their test mules after usage, and for good reason. I'm having a hard time trying to decide if this makes the car more or less valuable, in the long run, than a production ZR1?

VIN 18 was the ZR-1 at Bloomington Gold this year at the GM tent. I have a number of photos, including the VIN....If the dealer - or buyer - would like copies, let me know

Holy s**t! Glad to see you are all experts on what this car went through! Sometimes if you don't have any info, its better to just say nothing.
Wes, good luck with the sale, I'm sure at the right price it will move quickly.

GM would crush it but its so cash strapped that it will likely sell whatever it can. This deal makes about as much sense as the $150K prices on ebay for these.

There is a vid somewhere of a red ZR1 doing what appears to be a 2nd or 3rd gear "rolling" burnout, for at least 200ft and 30-40 seconds.......being well cared for I'm sure they get most of the rubber out of the wells I say 95k
