Best replacement tires for C6 Z06???
What are most replacing stock runflats onc6 z06 with? These stock tires are horrible and I want to replace them with preferably a non-run flat tire. When I had my 99 I switched over to Michelin Pilots and loved it. Any suggestions would be aprreciated. BTW: For street use.

Nitto Invos are good and I think what most people are doing. I think the PS2s are a little better in the turns but also more expensive and might not last as long.
I have Invos on my Z which is my daily and PS2s on my weekend car. The Invos hook up ~550rw on my Z06 in 2nd gear. They are quiet and from what I have heard, fine in the rain. I should find out tomorrow with a 90% chance of rain in the forecast
Btw, you had a Cartek heads/cam package on your C5, correct?

I've done a great deal of research on this issue as I'm in the same boat as you. After speaking with many, many forum members I'm going with Nitto Invos this spring. This includes talking with people who've had Michelin PS2's. There's a new General Exclaim that just became available but I'm still siding with the Nitto's because the Generals are just too new and don't have the rave reviews that the Nitto's bring.

i know this has been discussed 10 million times and pretty sure im going with the Invos but its the whole RF that i like for peace of mind like say you had a flat what the hell then????? a tow truck isnt gonna have a low profile jack to jack up the car and even so with out a spare car just gonna stay on the side of the road??? till you can get a tire and who knows where abouts its gonna happen and if not by a huge city center good luck getting the same tire to get the car up and running i dont take the car ouuta the city much but will once and awhile and (touch wood) i have never had a flat on the highway but sh*t can happen????? SO WITH ALL THAT SAID how are the POLEPOSITIONS RF????

Has anyone tried the General Exclaim UHP tires on their Z? Tire Rack shows them for about half the price of the Goodyears or Bridgestones, and they have a 380 treadwear rating. Sounds too good to be true?

I love my Bridgestones, but they are pricey since they're runflats. They hook pretty well in 2nd gear in my heads/cam car, as long as the pavement isn't freezing.
They are Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position RFTs. They were designed as OEM replacements, so the tire diameters actually measure the same as stock.

How about other members opinions on this matter as well. Again if you could for us newbies.
Do you see something terribly wrong with Invos for the road course?
And what if such a lowlife existed that would street mistreat a car, do you see any benefit on one tire over the other?
I still have my runcraps, I need new tires. Forget about the price so as to be objective with the tire in question.

I have heard great things about the NT 05s that are coming out in the next few months. Are any of you that are going with Invos going to wait? I'm almost ready for tires on my 07 ZO6 and i am waiting to see the reviews on this new tire.

I ran over a razor blade in a parking lot once. I'd like to see you plug that. I drove 40 miles to a tire store on 0 PSI without a problem.
I'll be replacing the stock tire with stock tire when the time comes, again. I have no problem making them work with AH/TC off. It's all about the driver inputs.

Easy! Insert 3-4 plugs. I've plugged holes twice as big as that on my jeep. In 34k miles I've had to plug my Z06 tires twice. It's a 10 minutes job. I'd slap a AAA sticker on the back before buying runflats.

There are reviews already out. To sum them up the Invo is a better tire in every catergory except barely behind in hot/dry traction.

When u get in the 100+ MPH range arent u worried about a blow out? Too much power and car to risk on a $5 patch job imo
