Default Cross beam adapter for jacking?

Using one of the methods in the FAQ, you purchase 2 cross beam adapters from NorthernTool.com, remove the rails for the front - reattach rubber pads on center piece, modify to fit your jack (i'll be using the Omega 29023) and jack directly on the "preferred jacking points" on the cross beams.

Sounds great...one minor problem. NorthernTool.com doesn't sell the cross beam adapters anymore.

This is the only thing I can find similar to the NorthernTool one...

Anyone know if this will work? Any other cross beam adapters?

I know, I know....I could...but the NT adapters were $60 for two, and that's almost worth it to me to not have to mess with constructing wooden ones.

yes because cutting a 2x6 to length is extremely difficult.

you seem to have your mind made up on these so why even ask. a cut piece of wood for under $10 will do the same job. but if you want these things then just get them. i thought i saw a post where you have to modify one anyway cause the reach on them is too far.

Modifying the adapter is literally pulling the rail out and attaching the rubber up top of the center piece.

Like this right?

I used a wooden brace with a similar design on my C5. I know it works.

For $50 more

I have an extra $50 to spend.
