Halltech Bumble Bee Camaro
We just purchased a 2010 Camaro last night in order to build a new Cold Air Induction for this car.
There was only one on the lot, and it was the Bumble Bee, how appropriate.
We spent most of the day looking over the induction system, which is pretty staight foward, using the same type of MAF as found on the LS3 and Z06.
We got the SS with 426 HP, but it sure feels slow to me. Actually, my comparison is unfair, since I drive a Katech 636 HP ride, which has torque from hell.
Overall the car's fit and finish is excellent, with only a few knit picky things that bother me. The doors have a illumination strip that comes on at night which screws around with my peripheral vision. It came with Borla's Off Road exhaust which is very easy on the ears, but has the burbling when decelerating.
Now for the really sweet stuff. Competition Mode allows TC off but it goes a step further with launch control. I haven't tried this, but the manual states that you can floor the throttle and the rpm will go up to the perfect launch rpm and when you drop the hammer, the tires will spin just enough to control bog! Holy Crap!
I think the new Z06 and ZR1 has this as well. Pretty cool technology.
Oh, and if you are wondering, the Camaro does not qualify for CFC, which is perfect. I would not have wanted to trade in my 98 Silverado if I knew Obama was going to make mince meat of it.
If anyone is interested, I can get some pics tomorrow.

Congrats! Please post up some pix. I'm liking the Camaro SS very much. There's an odd thing that several 5th gen owners have mentioned, tacked on weights on the brake calipers! Does yours have them?

I actually considered an SS when I bought my '06Z, would have spent about the same $ (low-mid 40's). I think I would have been disappointed in the performance compared with the Z, which would have moved me to sell the SS at a loss and migrate to a Z. I just skipped that step!!

Yep. It gets a combined mileage which qualifies it.
I do not think taxpayers should pay $4500 for my trade in and then destroy it. That is dumb economics and redistribution of wealth to support the automakers. i.e. more bailouts.
If they had offered to give me the $4500, I would not have traded my truck. I got the normal trade value, now someone else will enjoy my truck, as it should be.

Beyond the normal Halltech Cold Air Intake, Borla Exhaust, what kind of mods would folks like to see on the Camaro.
I think it needs at least 550 HP to haul its heaviness down the road. Any opinions?
The Magnuson is 50 State CARB legal, but I do not like FI with cast pistons.

I was impressed with the layout of the car. Pretty cool. I didn't get to drive it, I just sat in it and went, "Vrooom, vroom, vroom!" 3900 pounds? The only thing this car needs is 427 cubes with a little less cam than the Z06. Pick up the bottom end a little, detune to about 480 hp and red line at 6500. Would be a lot of fun to drive (for a 3900 lb car).

P.S. Wait a minute, how about the supercharged 6.2 CTSV motor? I'd buy that for Linda in a heartbeat! Wait! Don't tell her I said that.
