Thanks, that is exactly what I thought. All black is too drab and all chrome is too much bling for Blade Silver.

Sorry for the newbie question here(I've only had my C6 a few months), but are all the std. Corvette wheels forged?

What construction are the reproduction wheels? I really like the Forgeline wheels, I'd like to see what they look like on a ZR1.

Here's the EV1R's:

This is the exact wheel I would put on but it only comes in 18"
ZR1's are 19 & 20". If they every make it in the correct sizes I'll buy a set. Of all the wheels I've looked at this is the best looking IMO. How did you know?

Yeah I think those wheels are trick! American made too

I think Corvette's look great with 18's though, as far as performance goes I think you'll be better off as well.

In racing bikes or cars the sidewall has a lot to do with how well the tire works. No sidewall...usually not much grip. F1 has huge sidewalls, and same with GP bikes as well. The tire deflects a lot!

Hope this helps

Your car looks great and I even like the wheels . They're really the same design as stock but the machining of the top surface totally changes the look. It's the tires that make them look odd, this tire brand appears to be sized smaller than the OEM Michelins.

You might want to check out this set of three wheels from 360. You would be one of the first on a ZR1
You can do paint mach centers or satin with carbon fiber lips that 360 are doing now.

Just my opinion and it don't mean S#$t. The factory satin finish looks better & I like chrome.

The replicas looked better in the catalog.

HRE P40

Brushed Finish is nice. I have a conversion because of being in a wheelchair with no legs so I have to drive automatic.
I have Apsis Carbon interior. Carbon engine bay and intake pcs, I like the vents in carbon and want to do that next. I also have Carbon Headlights.

Nice car

Those are really nice looking wheels

IMO when rims start getting to the sizes we see today straight spokes start to look like stagecoach wheels whereas your pattern does a great job of filling the space.

I must say however, I think you missed an oppurtunity to really set your car apart with those cheap replica wheels

Yeah because the average shmeck is really going to be able to tell the difference.

Car looks great and I don't think that the discerning ZR1 owner will give you too much flak for the wheels not being of the forged $$$$$$ variety. Good luck.

All Corvette alloy wheels up until 1999 are cast. The 2000-2004 C5 polished 5-spokes are forged, but after first 6 months of 2000 the forged silver ones ones were changed to cast. 2001 Z06 wheels are forged; starting in 2002 all Z06 wheels are cast, as are ZR1s. All 2005-2007 coupe/vert wheels are cast, as are the 2008-2010 split-spokes and Grand Sports. The narrow 5 spoke polished coupe/vert wheels that were new for 2008-up are forged, so is the chrome version.
