Default Engine start fail--- help..

hey guys, i was just wondering if anyone could help me with some information on what could be wrong with my 2008 z06, until i can take it to the dealership that opens on monday so that the engineers can use the computer to tell me whats wrong with it.

last night i was driving for about 30 mins, suddenly while accelerating in 2nd gear and shifting up to 3rd, i felt the gas pedal was dead, my engine had turned off, i pulled over to the right, stopped, tried to start the engine again, it started and seemed like it was working with 3-4 pistons firing, and failed at keeping the idol running and stalled. i tried it again, same thing.... then let it cool down for a few mins tried switching on again, engine fired this time it seemed like it was working a bit better, but still it felt like all the cylinders wernt firing, so i switched it off again. i kept trying to start it, it kept stalling... so i had the car taken home on a ramp. later on i removed the engine covers and disconnected the fuel line from the fuel rail, i quickly realised that there was no fuel getting sent to the rail, while trying to start the engine.... i checked the fuel pump fuses, they seemed ok.... i dont know whats wrong, does anyone know what could be the problem?
oh and i also checked if the ground wire was ok, by having a look at the rear driver side wheel , the wire is located right behind the wheel and screwed on the body, it was ok...

can any1 help?
how can i know if the pump is gone, or if its somthing else...?

Sorry about what's going on with your car. Have you tried just disconnecting the battery for a bit and tried starting again? Just taking a shot in the dark... Check and see if all the injectors are firing .. Maybe one faulty injector could result in the ecu shutting down a bank of cylinders?? Have seen this injector issue with other brands, nit completely sure what's happening to your car... Will talk to a local GM tech that I know and give you some feedback later today..

hey dude, thanx, i disconnected the battery, nothing changed, the problems isnt at the injectors from as far as i can tell, the problem is that that there is no fuel getting to the fuel rail in the first place, and i dont know why, fuse? grounding? pump? ... im jus asking around so i can see if any1 can help me rule out what it could be... how can i know if the pump is gone?

oh and since im back writting on this forum, id jus like to mention that my 2008 euro spec z06, turned out to be faulty so far, leme jus tell you what ive expirienced

1st- when the car was delieverd to me, bran new, it had the clutch installed wrong side from factory! i mean the odds of that happening.... omg... you know, it says flywheel side on the clutch, well it was facing the wrong way.....

2nd problem after 6 months - my clutch pedal went all the way down to the floor destroying the master cylinder, coz the spring the coil under the clutch pedal got cut in half... wtf?!? the odds of that...

3rd problem after 1.5 year- 18k miles ive been expiriencing the soft clucth pedal sensation with the pedal staying low close to the floor while shifting in high rpms, well thats prob coz the clucth fluid needs replacing or it jus need to get a bleed to remove the air if any.

4th problem , what im expiriencing right now....

haha i dont know wat else is coming.....
i jus never expected the vettes to be so faulty, small problems all the time.

my symptoms:

what it turned out to be:

the easiest way to determine if this is probably the cause is to add a couple gallons of gas and see if it starts.
