I don't consider it a problem. My 97 coupe and 03Z both clashed a little when cold. The 08Z does it as well. All you have to do is remember to move the shifter easily and it will shift just fine. Once you have driven a mile or so the lubricant is warmed up and it shifts very smoothly. I put many track miles on both the 97 and 03 and never had an issue with the transmission on either.
There are some people who complain about everything and you sort of have to take their comments with a grain of salt.
