I only got the Z06 because I wanted to try an American V8 in a lightweight chassis. If you don't need the power and don't want to deal with traction issues then go for the Porsche. The biggest difference is I struggle all the time to even get the stock power levels to the ground where in my modified E92 M3 with 295 rear tires I could still always get the power to the ground and enjoy the car. I am holding out hope that some new wheels and 345 tires possibly drag radials will fix that issue for me.
To drive a Z06 does require drivers skill, which takes time when switching from a ladies car I have no problems keeping my wheels to the ground with 50% tread as long as it's not a wet or cold out then i don't drive the Z06, it's mainly a summer car.....practice makes perfect

Having both a Bimmer and Z06 in the garage, I'll sum it up like this - The Z06 is no BMW and the BMW is no Z06.

guys i really appreciate all the input...and i know the Z pretty much smokes anything on the road on straights and twistes...i am an intermediate driver...done several track days...and i actually fear the Z, lots of power and light...i get scared when a car doesnt let me know what its doing...and i hear the Z is a tough car to drive fast...as to thats why i ask about the "feel and feedback" cause cars that do tell you whats going on seem to be a lil easier to drive at 10/10ths.

thanks again
It is not tough to drive fast. The car has plenty of feedback.

I'm jealous! Saw pics of your m3 on 6spd. Big tires out back.

Any input on the topic at hand? How do you compare them driving at the limit and feedback and steering?

I have had a lot less seat time in the Z so far (obviously, since I have had the M since dec 08) but I have much more confidence driving the M so far. The Z handles well but it can get away from you easily with amount of power and torque on hand. Sorry if I wasn't much help
