Whipple or KB ZR1?
Has anybody thought of doing a twin screw set up on their ZR1? I think it would be bad ***. I know the factory blower and supporting mods can be more than enough. I just thought it would be a cool build, although costly since whipple and KB are into a different market. There is a KB viper around indy that hauls ***, it made me think of this.

Burning Brakes
I was at Whipple last week dynoing a Ford GT that we just finished a 3.3L Whipplecharger upgrade on (678 RWHP) and I saw their new LS9 Camaro kit which just passed CARB with 608 RWHP at 9 psi and we discussed the fact that because they now have a CARB exemption number for the LS series engines, that they would like to to do a twin screw upgrade for the ZR-1. So, if anybody has a car here in CA that they would like to offer up for the R&D and be the first to get the Whipple kit; PM me and I will get you the necessary information to get in contact with the right person at Whipple.

I wouldn't put a KB on my lawnmower

👀👀 I wish I could find details , I was honestly hoping pro charger would have stepped up and made a kit since they made one for the c7 z06 but I don't see them doing it for a dying platform when new Cameros and mustangs are on the horizon .

Whipple is a fine blower other then requiring a new hood. I do not care for KBs. Never have. If you tune enough cars you start to see a trend and also if you take the blower apart and look at how they work things start to make sense.

You can use any of the c6 blower kits with an LS3 intake manifold pretty easily.

What accessories would be different from a ls9 to a Ls 7 besides the blower pulley ? I'm thinking after I change the heads for ported mast heads I'll ditch the factory super charger .

The 4.0ltr is available for the LS but it's very tall and wouldn't work on the corvette.

But the only option is the 2.9 Whipple. That's not much of an upgrade over the stock blower. Unlike the Ford GT or GT500 you can't just drop a larger blower, like say the 4.0 ltr blower, on the LS9.

However one company (dragon?) did a side mounted 3.3ltr whipple! However. I much ever came of them. There is no reason this couldn't work! However you need to think about filter location and the oil tank might get in the way on a ZR1.
