Is May 3rd the date for the 2011 ZR1 model? I heard they were going to announce the new model then----anyone hear anything?

The 2011 models of the Corvette will be at the C5/C6 Birthday Bash at the National Corvette Museum this week, April 29 - May 1, 2010. The should have representations of Coupes, Convertibles, Grand Sports,
Z06's and the ZR1.

Thanks JT! Heard there may be a few nice additions---like a back up camera, maybe new steering wheel----hopefully they will not hike price!!!

Prices can't go up too much if they want to sell vettes. Inventory levels have started going back up - about 4,500 cars as of yesterday. They had gone down to 3,000, but are back up again. The economy has made for a very soft market. We are approaching 400 ZR1's sitting at dealerships.

Raising prices would be foolhardy.

Here is Megan's note to me today---no 2011 ZR1 on display

"All we have on display today is a 2011 Grand Sport and 2011 Z06. I still haven’t heard if there will be a ZR1 here".

I'll be at the 2011 unveiling tomorrow at the NCM.

The agenda shows the 2011 presentation in the Chevrolet theater at 2:30pm and a walk around the actual car outside after the theater presentation.
