ZR1 X-Pipe installed on Z06, results & cost please
As this looks like it is going to be standard on the Z06 in 2011 I was wondering if anyone here install the ZR1 X-pipe on their Z?
What where the costs for the parts and install?
Happy with the results?
Any help would be appreciated.

I went with the Corsa X-pipe, at about $350 or so, it bolts up to the stock manifold and mufflers without any cutting.
It shouldn't cost more than $100 to get one installed, though I recommend having someone do it, since installing one is significantly easier when you use a lift and pneumatic wrenches.
I'd be willing to bet this will be cheaper than getting a stock ZR1 (or new Z06) one and no one is going to be able to tell the difference.

It has a slightly deeper sound and it has a much more even burble on deceleration.
Allegedly, an X-pipe increases exhaust gas scavenging, which is worth a couple horsepower, but that's not something you'd notice in the seat of your pants. Couldn't hurt, however.

If you opt to get an X-pipe, I recommend going ahead and getting an insulated tunnel plate while your in there. The X-pipe has to be off to install the tunnel plate, and once it is, the tunnel plate is super easy to install.
The insulated tunnel plate will significantly reduce the heat in the center tunnel.

A-B tested Corsa X-pipe vs. stock X-pipe on a Katech Stage 1 Z06 with factory manifolds and cats. The Corsa gained 12rwhp.

OK, that makes much more sense
I might just do a dyno before and after the ZR1 x-pipe install on my stock, no-tune Z just for S&G's. I'm not expecting any change other than a shift in the exhaust tone, but I got it with the complete ZR1 exhaust I purchased from Jon at Wheelsboutique.

I really don't expect to see anything other than a exhaust tone change...I'm more interested in the ZR1 muffler install . Jason's comparison was done on a cam car, which I would expect to see some marginal difference..maybe 25-30% of the overall boost expected when user go to long tubes and x-pipe combo and see 30+ rwhp/rwtq gains.
