Default 2010 Cyber Grey ZR1 wanted

Friend of mine is in talks with 2 dealerships over a 2010 Cyber Grey ZR1 (3ZR) and interested in trading in his 2006 Jetstream Blue Z06. (no deal yet and isn't interested in bait / switch)

Z06 is a 1ZL with painted wheels in mint condition with 12k miles.

Deals out there are up to "12k" off sticker and he is looking for "10k" off sticker and about $42k for his Z06.

He has offers for his Z06 in the range of $44 to $44.5k from non dealers, but would prefer trade it in for tax purposes.

Serious buyer who has done his homework and ready to deal.

Light scratch on the front bumper / passenger side.

I have a 2010 Cyber w/Dark Titanium and Chrome in transit to my dealership. MSRP is $121,130 and my Sale Price will be $109,500. My advice on his Z06 is to sell it outright.

Thanks,

I think I be interested in that sweet deal myself! 52 large off msrp trading in his Z? That's aggressive don't you think?

Wes,

Might take you up on this... Just had 1 local dealer in MD come close to your offer and another one PM me an offer from Georgia.

I have a serious buyer looking for a fair deal and can wait. If that "fair" deal comes, he will be willing to move fast. Prefer a good deal with the trade for tax purposes. (also willing to have the car inspected by an independant dealer)

Thanks!

David

Default 2006 " Jet Stream Blue"?

Very Nice Car. But Not to Sound as a Know it all but
there were no Jet Stream Blue Z06's in 2006. The Colour
is "Lemans Blue".

JSB and CRM were both introduced in MY2008.

Thanks!!! I know the difference, but still called it Jetstream...

Just back from the NCM and the plant.

As of friday they have #1222 on the line. (maybe 1350 to 1400 this year?)

Now it's time to make some calls back to dealers and find my friend a new 2010 ZR1.

Most dealerships will do an in-and-out with your private buyer to save you the taxes.

He can sell the car out right and if he has a bill of sale the new buyer signs, he can take that to the dept of motor vehicles when he pays his sales tax to get his new plates, they will deduct the amount from the purchase price of his new zr1 from which they base sales tax on.

I just did this when I sold my c4 zr1 to buy my new z06. worked quite easily. There is no way a dealer will give him 44k for a used z06 3 or 4 years old

Ended up with $41k for his 2006 Z06 and 10k off the new ZR1.
