Default Fiberglass splitter/skirts - repair question

Ok, I have those painted fiberglass front splitter and side skirts.

I got a small 1/4" nick on the splitter. The leading edge is ok. Just a nick on top of the leading edge.

Second, I went over a speed bump and one of the side skirts has a few small gouges way underneath. It's not even visible unless you get on the ground to see it.

My question is, can a body shop fix those and paint them?

And also could they do it while the parts are still on the car?

In the old days, I would just get a tub of Bondo, fill in the blemishes, sand, and then paint. (I realize times have changed )

I have a new ZR1 rear spoiler on order and will need it painted anyway, so I was thinking to ask the body shop if they could fix those nicks.

Also, if someone could recommend a good body shop in far North Dallas/Plano/Frisco that would be great.

Thanks for your responses.

Depending on how bad those nicks are do you really think its worth fixing a front splitter. It will take a few days and a driveway or speed bump to break it again. This things are just too fragile...

if you're not a member already, being on the DFW autoclub forums may be beneficial to you, especially in getting recommendations for shops etc. Most of them live in or around Frisco and the weekly meets are in Frisco. I'd be surprised if you didn't know about this club, but hey; I figure I'll toss it out there anyway.

yes they can fill the voids with polyester resin and paint over them. You can likely do it on the car, but there is always the risk of overspray.

He's referring to Frisco, Texas. Not San Francisco.

Thanks Lance. I did not know about this club. And the meeting point is like 2 minutes from my house!
