Default How many front splitters have you gone through

I'm contemplating buying a new splitter but know that first steep driveway will really bug me if I scratch it up lol. Thought it be interesting to see who's replaced the most splitters on their car

I am on my second one. Will be ordering a third to have handy when the second one dies.

Definitely changes your driving style and caution about driveways, transitions, rail-road tracks, and speed bumps.

But looks killer!

On my '06 - 2, T-boned a Mustang and ran over a curb

On the '08 - 1, bunny rabbit @ a buck forty.

0n the '10 - 1, curb

I qualify for group purchases all by myself.

I guess I'm lucky. Mine still looks like new after 25k and my car lowered on the bolts AND the bushings cut.

4,if you stay on the track they seem to last longer.I tried clearing away of brush and rocks but the splitters always lose.

Mine looks pretty bad, but I keep patching it up.

The guy with the duct tape gives me an idea how to make it last even longer.

Yes I am running the original one we got on the car in Feb. 07

Ever since I have been driving the Z less (got a true DD) I have been hitting it more when I drive. I guess I am out of tune with watching out for it. I cant imagine if I had a $1500 ZR1 lip..... it would be all scratched up.
My cars is lowered on stock bolts.

I replaced the original during the first month I owned the car. Hit the high curb in a parking space. Learned to stay away from curbs and back in whenever possible.

I went with the Katech splitter and complete package after the MTI splitter. I have never had a problem with either one. Every once and a while the bolt heads that hold the under tray on will scrape. My car is lowered with coil overs.

Good thread, I was wondering this too. I am assuming my used 07 I just got has the original lfrom the looks of it and my car is not lowered. I have thought aobut ordering a new one, but just can't bring myself to do it, I drive the car a good deal, and even though I am careful, it does scrape sometimes.
I am thinking of just painting the stock one to make it look a bit nicer. I know if spent the money on a new one, I would be beyond pissed the first time I scraped it.

This thread screams for a cabin-adjustable ride height suspension, or a suspension that raises automatically under 15 mph. Wouldn't be hard to engineer and could be an option. Chevy, are you listening?

Mine is still the one that was on the car when it left BG back in Dec 2006.

It was PERFECT until a few months ago when I BUMPED a parking bumper. No real damage, just a few scuff marks.

Number 3 and counting. I have a steep driveway and have to hit the angle perfect or it's toast.
