You could probably get a good deal right now on a 2010 leftover, immediately sell the OEM tires on e-bay for 70% of their value, and use the extra money you saved overall to buy a set of Mich Pilot Sports with even better performance and an aftermarket exhuast and maybe have some money left over for an intake.
2011 also has better transmission, different exhaust, and 1 year less time sitting up. Along with other slight/minor changes I am sure that have failed to be mentioned by GM yet/discovered by us.

The TR6060 is an evolution of the T56. When they wanted a stronger T56, they made the gears wider, and called it the TR6060. They also had to make the syncro's narrrower. They don't work as well. You have the same material syncros, only narrower, with heavier gearing to slow. So for 2011, they changed the material to make up for the size. It is supposed to cure cold-shift notchiness, etc.

I hear ya...but is it 5-10k better? They also improved the tranny in 07 compared to the 06's...but I have never heard of anyone breaking tranny's (motors yes) on any of the years in any significant numbers.

To each his own, but I'd personally save the $5-10k and buy a sweet set of aftermarket wheels, tires and ZR1 splitter and side skirts while you enjoy those new "synchros".

Also, the warranty starts when you buy the car, so essentially the warranty on the 10 and 11 would be the same.

A 2006 'vette retailed for around 65K. It now goes for 40K, in good shape, low-miles, etc. That is 5K/year. That 5K will carry over in re-sale and I will enjoy the exhaust and better transmission for free, essentially.

To me the exhaust sounds the same as my bone stock 06' z06 with the flaps open except there is more rap when he lets off.

Don't forget the 0%/72 financing on the 2010's for those that have to finance their dream
