Default Dallas Performance / APS Twin Turbo - Build Thread with pics C6 Z06

We wanted to share photos of one of our latest builds with the forum as it progresses. Dallas Performance recently purchased the last four C6 ZO6 APS Twin Turbo kits, directly from APS. We feel that this is one of the best kits on the market, and we are proud to put our name behind these kits. We also have a few improvements we offer to these kits that step it up to another level.

This week, our first customer dropped off his vehicle for the installation of his DP/APS kit, and we couldn’t be happier to have this car for the installation. Tony’s beautiful 2007 Atomic Orange ZO6 rides on 19”F/20”R brushed CCW SP16A’s, wrapped with Michelin PS2’s, LG longtube headers, Akrapovic titanium exhaust with carbon fiber tips, APSIS carbon/leather steering wheel, LG ZR1 style CF splitters, carbon fiber accents all around, and other nice touches fitting for a Corvette that is proudly displayed at area car shows. Just be careful the next time you see this car on the street, because this beauty will have a wicked punch.

We will try to update the thread as we progress in the build, and please contact us if you are interested in purchasing one of the remaining 2 kits (another kit is already pre-sold).

Goals are a very conservative 600 rear wheel horsepower with stock drivability. This will be an easy goal to meet and be a nice well rounded package with plenty of power on tap if he wants to turn up the boost later!

Here are some photos taken before we start work on the car.

Here’s a better look at those 125mm Akrapovic carbon fiber tips:

The APSIS carbon/leather steering wheel:

A couple of shots of the engine bay before we work our magic:

And our baseline dyno:

Wow...stunning would be an understatement. Can't imagine this thing after you finish working your magic Taylor. Congrats Tony that was a dream kit of mine for a very long time.

there's so much attention to detail on this car, i can't think of a cooler engine set up than the APS kit.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

We spent a full day sanding and smoothing out the top portions of the exhaust manifolds to give them a more show car appearance since Tony displays the car at car shows. Then we ceramic coated the manifolds and exhaust housings with 2000 degree bright silver ceramic. Really looks amazing.

Here are a few pictures before we started the install. It really amazes me how complete and well thought out this kit is. Something that you just don't see often in the automotive aftermarket industry.

That is a bunch of parts laid out there!

How long to install and what is easy and or hard about it?

NICE!

Lot of parts, indeed. I'm glad somebody out there knows what to do with all of them!

Definately a good idea to ceramic coat the manifolds and A/R housings as those turbos are right there at your feet. From a heat standpoint, you may want to coat the downpipes and H-pipe as well. The only real issue I see there is the small flex pipe sections near the blow-off valve mounts. Should be real nice when it's done.

It's a pretty involved install. Much more work than a typical supercharger install.
