It is 1 3/4" .083 wall 4130 1 3/4" is mandatory for roll bars. It is not until you build a 8 point (or more) cage that 1 5/8" becomes legal.

If you wanted to add onto to this roll bar yourself and make a cage out of it, all the additional tubing can be 1 5/8"

Do you have any concern about galvanic corrosion from attaching the steel cage to an aluminum frame?

Every where that the chromoly touches the Aluminum frame the frame is painted. The bolts that pass through are Plated with a cadium plating. That being said, if you were in a real corrosive enviroment a periodic inspection between the Roll Bar and the Frame would be an excellent idea. You could coat both materials with an antri corrosive to ensure there was no problem. Please realize all over the Z06 steel bolts and brakets touch the aluminum frame, so GM is not too concerned.
