akrapovic exhaust- is there a difference??
those of u that are fortunate enough to have the akrapovic exhaust on your Z.......can you feel a difference in horsepower?? or is it just for the exhaust note......contemplating different exhaust and wondering if it's worth the money for the akrapovic versus borla, corsa...etc
thanks

I have the entire system which includes the X-pipe. I've also noticed that the KB II seems to love working with the higher flow Akrapovic exhaust. It's a hard and steady pull all the way to red-line.

Yes, there is a power gain over the stock system, which is easily felt in the gas pedal. The car now has more of a linear feel when accelerating.

Still, I didn't buy the Akrapovic exhaust for HP. I bought it for the sound, the weight savings, and the look, to be honest.

LOL... I say "butt dyno" for me. I love the exhaust note, and the weight savings is real. But, the dyno showed no HP gain for me over the stock exhaust with my LG headers w/xpipe.

No Dyno, but since installing the exhaust and KB II, I picked up close to a car length going against my SVT Cobra (my friend is a very consistent bracket racer and she drives the Cobra). Real world results have always been more important to me than Dyno results anyway.
