Default New DashTronix Radar Projector! Display your radar detector on the DIC, HUD, or both!

DashTronix is proud to announce the arrival of the new Radar Projector Ver 1.1.
Available for the Valentine 1 and Escort 9500ci (custom install) radar detectors.
For Escort 9500ci version click here.

Update: New speed controlled auto mute function available as an option. Click the link below.

Speed controlled auto mute function

We have amazing new features we're excited to announce to the Corvette community. Our existing
customers who already have a Radar Projector™ will be able to upgrade to these new features for very low cost.

Now you can display your Valentine 1™ radar detector in your DIC, HUD and even BOTH with the new v1.1 . Radar Projector! The RP is only displayed in street mode of the HUD.

The tiny Radar Projector™ comes with everything you need right out of the box. It plugs into your car at the OBD-II port under the steering column with the included cable. It automatically controls the power to your Valentine 1™, using the telephone cord included with your Valentine 1™, by sensing when you turn your engine on and off without the need for tapping fuses, wires or using the lighter outlet. With its incredible efficiency and intelligence it's designed to be left plugged in to your car at all times. We have a solution for users that have something already plugged into the OBD-II port. There is an additional proprietary splitter that allows two devices to be plugged into the OBD-II port at the same time, which is available at the time of purchase. That way you can use both devices simultaneously.

Here are some of the exciting new features of the new Radar Projector™.
  • There are three RP™ versions to choose from to display your
    Valentine 1™ radar detector
    1. HUD only
    2. DIC only
    3. Both HUD and DIC
  • There are up to four user-selectable operational modes (depending on
which of the three versions purchased):
    1. Display on HUD
    2. Display on DIC
    3. Displays on HUD and DIC simultaneously
    4. Off and the V1™ display will be illuminated!
  • There are two different radar signal strength display formats in both
the HUD and DIC. We have a new bar graph display too!
    1. Format 1: Meters run right to left (HUD uses classic navigation
meter, DIC uses new bar graph)
    2. Format 2: Meters run left to right (DIC and HUD use new bar graph)
  • The RP™ modes and display formats can be switched by the user while
    driving.
    • Just press door lock button twice to switch output modes and display
      formats on the RP™.
    • You can even press the button on your key fob to change modes
      and display formats!
    • The RP™ remembers the mode that was selected when the car is off, so
everything is as you left it when you restart your car!

All information from your Valentine 1™ is transferred to the HUD or DIC
so you don't have to take your eyes off the road to have radar
situational awareness. There is simply nothing else like the
Radar Projector™ available!

Priced at $229.95 for the HUD only or DIC only models, and
$249.95 for the DIC and HUD version
it is an amazing value!
Existing customers can upgrade to the DIC/HUD version for just $10
and free return shipping.
DashTronix appreciates its loyal customers!

For more information, installation instructions, or to order your Radar Projector™, visit
http://www.dashtronix.com.
Units are in stock and ready to ship!

The DashTronix Radar Projector is 100% designed and built in the USA.

Brilliant! I almost put the "plain-old-HUD" version on my Christmas list, but wasn't a fan of the way it displayed w/ Nav mode (like track mode too much). This tipped the scales, so 1 order placed!

This release is for the Valentine 1 radar detector.

We also have a RP version for the Escort 9500ci radar detectors.

I received and installed my upgraded unit yesterday. I haven't had a chance to take the car out for a drive yet to note the difference in the displays. However, one bit of feedback I'd offer: have some way to note which display format is being shown. Maybe when the device transitions from "OFF" to "HUD", note in the readout that it's "HUD (1)" or something like that.

Either way, thanks for getting it back to me so quickly.

I finally got a chance to test the new version and I definitely like it! I'm using display format 2, and sending output to both HUD and DIC. That's just damn cool!

Thanks DT!

Hi Jas,

We are very happy to hear you are enjoying your updated DashTronix Radar Projector!

Its really nice to be able to have the V1 display in the DIC, HUD, Both HUD and DIC, or have the RP off and the V1 illuminated.

Now you have total control over where you receive your radar alerts.

Thanks again for your support.

A tip for installing the phone wire across the driver's side roof liner header - a plastic butter knife can be used to gently pry the header slightly away from the gas so you can easily stuff the wire behind it. Gently pull the liner out starting at the mirror cable exit to get the wire started and then slip the knife between the glass and the liner.

The current DashTronix Radar Projector is only compatible with the 2005-2012 Corvette, the 2010-up Camaro and the 2004-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix with HUD.

We are always looking to expand the Radar Projector's compatibility, features, and functionality, so be sure to check back in with us often.
