You own a ZR-1... what do you do for a living?
I'm a 26 Y/O federal firefighter and just bought my first Corvette. It's a 2002 C5 Z06 with 19,000 miles on it. I soon hope to own a C6 Z06 within the next few years after I buy a house. If y'all don't mind me asking, what does everyone do for a living? My dream car is a white ZR-1!
thanks,
Chris

My wife could buy a ZR1 with cash, she's spent the past 10 years working in IT as a quality assurance lead and business systems analyst. But she's not like me, instead she saves her money I'm a software engineer, couldn't afford a ZR-1 at the time I got my C6. Maybe when the C7 comes around, if we decide we have room for another vette..
BTW not in any way trying to brag, we are definitely not rich. It's not even my money, and I'm married to her! Hahaha. Pretty much, if she dies it goes to our son. Only way I'd get some of it is we divorce I guess lmao Even then idk.

Retired from Shell with a package after 33.8 years. I was a worker bee and although I made a good salary compared to others, I was low on the totem pole. I alone couldn't afford a ZR1. Husband owns a construction company. He's the sole bread winner now. Thank you honey!!! I love the car.

Thanks isnider! I do love my job and get paid well as a federal firefighter compared to most cities. It's a trade off between gross pay and call volume. I just separated from active duty Air Force and I am currently a SSgt in the reserves.
I've had the C5 for about two months and I've already purchased a ported FAST 90/90, ARH 1 7/8, AFE (might sell for vararam) etc.
