Standing mile stock Zr1 results
I just went to the standing mile here in Goliad, Texas. If you have never done this it is a must for car guys. So much fun and seriously fast cars. I was the fastest stock car. That is until a nascar driver in another Zr1 showed me up. I went 177 and he went 183. I think he must have had a tune. Makes me feel better anyway. There were not any other vehicles to my knowledge who broke 170. Porsche tt and Sl65amg were alot slower. It was a blast. You guys have to try it.
I don't remember the nascar guys name. He was pretty old though.

Is this run on a completely straight road or does it have turns?

Nice running. My stock ZR went 180.3 last October, so you're in the right zone. Nail the launch and the shifts and you'll break 180.
It is a great event. Very well run.
Be safe - and go get that 180.

In car video from my April 2010 Mohave mile in Ca, bone stock rough head winds no traction.

I had a gopro camera mounted on the back window so we should have vids soo.
Yeah he was pissed because he was totally modded and only ran 183 while the stock Cyber Gray ran 184.7.

What PTM had you selected? I assume you didn't do launch control.

He wan't a driver, but a team owner. However, not on the big nascar circuit you are thinking of. There are smaller nascar races that aren't televised. I talked to him. Very nice older guy. He knew what he was doing though with his stock ZR1. He had that car taped up like a NASCAR car though. That's was probably why he got the speeds he did out of his stock ZR1.

The white ZR1 you were referring to was owned by Xtreme motorsports and was fully modded. There were three running that day. Two white ones and a cyber grey one. There was also a black one there but he was just a spectator. I wish I still had my beast of a ZR1 to run out there.
