Default OEM gm z06 rotors vs TPS motorsports z06 rotors?

looking to change my rotors on my car and was wondering which rotors are better. TPS motorsports rotors are $460 and the oem gm ones are about the same.

any members have the tps rotors and how do they compare over the gm oem ac delco rotors.

Default Rotors

I bought me a set more than 2 weeks ago and have still not recieved mine. Been on the phone with them a couple times and the customer service has me questioning if they are legit. Supposedly they are lost by UPS but UPS says they only got my billing info and never actually received a package from TPS. Has any body else actually bought and received these rotors

I bought brake lines from them. The web site shows drilled rotors but the printing says they are drilled and slotted. Other than the black paint they look like stock rotors. Stock rotors can be purchased from forum vendors for about $330 shipped depending on your location.

the only problem is the stock rotors rust and these dont because there zinc plated and black powercoated.

theres another forum vender called BRake MOtive in the C6 general discussion area who sells z06 rotors for $265 shipped and there zinc plated. Anyone give those a try?

$265 for 4 z06 rotors seems awfully cheap...are you sure they are for the c6 z06...that price is more in line with base coup size rotors or a c5 z06. Anyways, I just went ahead and purchased 2 rear z06 oem rotors, frankly, I think unless you track the car, the slotted and drilled is overkill..I paid $150 with free shipping. Rust doesn't really bother me a ton, the oems I have now look fine, the rust goes away after a short drive anyways.

We've sold about 150+ sets of Corvette rotors to various customers who use them from street cars to vehicles on the Bonneville Salt Flats. We've never had an issue with our rotors cracking or warping as MANY of our customers use the rotors for Auto-X, drag dracing, or open tracking.

Derek,

As I have stated to you your order was processed and picked up on April 1st. We put a tracer on it last Friday (4/8/11) after you called. I just got off the phone with UPS and they stated they haven't found it yet. If you want I can send you another set today and you should get it within 4 days.

BTW, here's your tracking number again 1ZW958800342776759

We actually have 2 types of rotors for the C6Z.. Cross Drilled OR slotted only. There was a typo on the site... thanks for catching it for me

Our rotors are coated and Zinc plated to prevent rusting outside the firepath area.

Just a thought on the factory rotors, if you get a new set you could probably paint the hat portion with caliper paint and never have to worry about them rusting up again. I plan on doing that with mine sometime this summer. No doubt I will find out one way or the other if the paint holds up to the heat....never had a problem with the calipers on my other car and they were painted.

I got them from a website...oehq. Just google the ac delco part number 177-1001...But yes, it came out to be $154 shipped for 2 rear z06 rotors. You'll have to look up the ac delco part number for the fronts.
