Default 2012 Corvette Changes for Z06

Chevrolet unveiled the new Centennial Edition Corvette Package for 2012 this morning. In their announcement, they mentioned that the carbon fiber hood on the Z06 Carbon Edition will be an option available for the 2012 Z06. It looks to be a stand-alone option and not part of the CFZ carbon fiber package.

Here are details on the Centennial Package:

The Centennial Edition Corvettes are exclusively done in the new Carbon Flash Metallic exterior with satin-black graphics and unique Centennial Satin Black Wheels with red brake calipers. Red accents are throughout the inside and outside of the car. All the Centennial Corvettes will be available with Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

A special “100-Years” graphic showing Louis Chevrolet behind a steering wheel are located on the B-Pillars, the center caps of the wheels and the center of the steering wheel. The graphics are designed to blend with the car The Seats are also embossed with the centennial logo as well. A Small “100″ replaces the fleur-de-lis symbol on the Corvette’s crossed flags logo.

Inside you’ll find an ebony leather wrapped dash and doors with complimentary red stitching. Suede accents used first on the 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon are also found on the Centennial’s seats, steering wheel, shifter and armrests.

The RPO for the Centennial package is ZLC. Pricing will be released early this summer prior to production.

Darn - Same old seats with suede inserts. I was hoping Chevy finally listened and popped in some more supportive buckets. Looks nice though!

I know they had to make a change to the headrests last year, but are these even different still (beyond just the graphics)?

Looks nice, but more Parts Bin models from GM.

I feel sorry for the Carbon owners now.

Those look like new seats all around, not just the headrests.

Steering wheel seems to be taking on a better shape...

Took em what...6 years to figure that one out!!!...

A little late but all in all, very nice touches (besides those stupid graphics of Mr. Chevrolet)

I like the history but the graphics on the car????....

I'm liking the hood. With more of them out, it should make it easier/cheaper for me to find one for my 07z.

Those look like newer seats to me....the upper bolsters (near shoulders) are very different from the seats in previous years.

I want that hood for my 2010 Z06. I am sure it will be expensive, but I will definitely check it out when it becomes available.
