Default More pics of the WELD RST black face drag pack!

OK so finally I got some sunshine after work. I ran home grabbed the car and ran to a few quick places and grabbed some ok pics but hopefully start to give the rims some justice till I get the proffessional pics done. For those that do not know. These are the new Weld RST rims front and rear, no spacers, bolt right up with standard lugnuts. They are beautiful and light weight. I did choose a smaller 275/40/17 rear tire so I know it looks small but its what I use for my combo. These are just a few pics of the ones I took. The rims fit great, offset is near perfection sitting right along the body.

front rims only weigh 15lbs each. With radial 185/17 front runners are 35lbs. If you run bias ply front runners they would weigh approx 24-25lbs each front. Rear rim only weighed 21lbs. I didnt get to weigh them with the tire due to big hurry to get them on again for the track.

A little suprised that you can get a 17" wheel over the front rotors....what width 17" did you go with in the rear ?

Fartpipe,
So, now you have gone and done it. I promised myself that I wouldn't drag race my Z and now you have me really tempted. That is the first drag package that I would actually buy. They are both gorgeous and functioinal. Did you work with Weld or did they just come up with them on their own?
Gary
P.S. Love the symbolism of the banana peal. Also, are the spokes solid or are they more like a U channel?

That was one nice compliment sir

I worked with Holly and Jay at Weld doing some measurements on some rims I had, factory rims, the brake caliper, rotor, etc measurements and voila here they are. They had down that only 18in would clear. Now given the fronts are close but just as close as my CCW's were just about. NO WORRIES Street tested, track tested and APPROVED
I'm just happy to have a light weight, good looking, matching set of drag wheels on the car that not every tom dick and harry has for once. They come in polished aswell so its a nice touch on certain colors. I think i would like to see the reverse out of curious with the black. make the spokes polished and the lip/barrels/inner part of the spoke black. I think that could be a winner aswell.
