call a mobile locksmith service and have them make a mold for the key/or the key itself...

get a blank from the dealer first if needed, based on your VIN...

if that doesn't work, can the key cylinder be removed from the back of the car, to
bring to the dealer ?

I believe I read on the forum you can remove the tail light and pop the trunk. Don't recall what is done once the light is removed. Do a search.

...this might give you access to the cable connecting to the latch & key cylinder...all mechanically-actuated...just pull it ?

(good idea ! I didn't think of that...)

A locksmith will insert a air wedge in rear of drivers window, then using the multi angle flex rod will pull the release line between the door and seat. Have your VIN number handy when you call a locksmith, many can now have programs to cut/program a new key.

Jack it up and attach the hot wire of a battery charger on the hot terminal on the starter. Ground on the chassis. Use your key fob after a few minutes.

See above 383 said it. This is best.
Else, wedge the door glass and hook to emergency release. Can cause damage be careful.

If you have a remote, you have a key in the base of the remote.

Are you sure there is not a key in the remote? Are you certain you have lost both keys? Also, some on here have been able to get a key made at the dealer by taking them their title and a couple of forms of ID.

Since you have a dead battery, replace it? or buy a cheap-o used battery to at least get back in you're car?

Think "383's" method would be first one to try, as other member's have had success with it. Hopefully the battery's not run down to the point it's shorted out though. In response to the last post, he'll need to get into the car to replace the battery. But also right if the battery's totally run down, probably shot and will need to be replaced.

His profile shows he has a 07, so it has a separate key from the remote.

Depends on the year of his car. 06 and 07 did not have the integrated key fob

Lots of BAD answers here.

I know because the fobs got locked in my Z last week 10 mins after I bought the car.

Wedging forcing the windows etc Is extremely hard to do with indexed windows.

Called GM Roadside (car under warranty) and they sent a towing company that could only try to break in through the windows.

Then the locksmith that said he could cut a key if I had the Key Code. And NO GM Roadside can not/will not give you the code over the phone or to the locksmith.

GM suggested having the car towed to the dealer.

Bottom Line is I went to the dealer the next morning and they looked up the code and cut a key with the VIN#

Best answer in this case was to jump it at the starter
