You're obviously not driving it.
I have an 06, and it got me home and back tonight without blowing up, and I drove it hard....
It's on borrowed time.
I think I'll do what everybody else does - blow it up, so you can build it

I'm convinced the ones that are babied blow up. Mine sees the track every month even when its over 100*. Has over 77K miles in 3 years now. It gets me to work and back every day on the original battery. I go thru a lot of rotors, pads, tires and change the oil according to the DIC. It sees 7K RPM every day.

I warm it up to 140* before taking it over 3k RPM and keep the oil at the full mark.

I do not miss shifts and over rev.

I'm going to keep doing everything the same. When my warranty expires I may put in a new set of OEM springs

My 09 engine blew while it was parked in the garage and I just looked at it funny.

Is this normal?

My '06 is up to 24k miles with no major service while me or the prior owner had it. Should I replace my springs with weaker one's?

Lol... I think LS7s hate the owners who drive it like a VOLT and it gets fed up and blows up. If you drive like it's meant to be.... They are happy and last a long time!!!

That should be a hint to you garage queen owners... Please enjoy it.. Not garage it!!

Think about it.. If you have a hot blonde.. And not take care of her like a man should.. What will happen? She will leave you!! If u only do all the right things... Then she will be with u for life!!

These type threads have come up before.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...-blown-up.html

But they never get the post counts that the opposite type threads get.

On a side note, it appears that at least one guy posting in that thread that his motor had not popped, jinxed himself and has since posting up in that thread, lost a motor.

Just a heads up.

Yep, I remember that thread. It was inspiration for this one. I'm actually trying to jinx myself to induce a double jinx.

My stock motor 09 Z06 is running fine at 14K miles. The Goodyear RFT's were corded and replaced by NT-05's, 295/335. I'll keep the engine/drivetrain stock with fresh stock fluids while it is on warranty.
