Default Loud fan on ZR1

Are all of the cooling fans on the ZR1's very loud?Mine makes more noise than any of my previous C6's. Emmett

Yes, very loud and they run a lot ... I think it is mostly to do with the intercooler circuit.

Well now that you bring it up, yes. But it is only obvious to me right after engine shutdown and the fan is spooling off.

I'm thinking the A/C might be responsible, as hotter weather seems to increase the fan speed even when driving mildly.(I actually do that sometimes!)

Mine kicks on when I start it up almost always. Temp is around 86 degrees in the garage lately as it's been so hot out.

Yeah. It just amplifies (pun intended) the fact of the too quiet stock exhaust.

One reason I think it sounds louder is no insulator under the hood.

Definitely normal. And definitely loud. Temps pushing 100 here just about every day so it's working overtime when the car comes out to play.
