Good idea, but I don't think the existing wiring will reach and I don't think I have the talent to execute it properly.

I think the solution for me is to find one of those 08+ 'replicas' with the CF-ish trim that has the 'Tombstone' built in, cut a hole, then move the switch over to that one.

Anyone have any ideas about the steering wheels? The new wheel looks stunning.

Steering wheel only is $245 shipped. The airbag comes with the emblem so there is no way to get a blank center unless you remove the emblem. The airbag is only an additional $181, but the shipping is a little extra because it's considered hazardous.

Are you installing on a 2008+ style shifter?

If the shifter is 2007 and prior the hole does not line up, it's lower than the newer ones. I removed my shifter and drilled/tapped the hole in the correct location for the ****. Or you could get the newer shifter from Rich as well.

When you say "armrest" do you mean the center console door or the driver and passenger side armrests on the door panels?

It's going on a 2006 Z06 shifter. Also I'm talking about the center console door.

Also, what material are you using? alcantara?

Thanks,

Nick
