Now that is a story well told!!
Congrats. It is so rewarding to reach a goal, particularly a difficult one that takes time and persistence.
I also tip my hat to a fellow stock clutch brother...58000 and 456 launches here.
I think you might have the record, by a mile, for a stock 10 with that DA? Has anyone else achieved it with positive DA, let alone +2000!??
Way to go.

I might take one more shot at this with taking a hardcore approach.....running the CTS spare skinnies up front and shedding weight by removing the passenger seat, draining the windshield wiper fluid, maybe use a light weight battery, etc.
I'll also hold out for the best air I can get (within reason), as I know we will get some lower air temps and better DA in the coming weeks....if I can get under 1000' DA I'd be happy
I really need to get the LS9X clutch kit into the car, as the current clutch is holding me back a bit in my HPDE's when I'm coming down from the long straight's and downshifting/braking for the corners.

My mod's are OEM ZR1 catback and MF103 CAI, everything else is stock including the tune.
60K original clutch is complaining at the track, so it's up for replacement really soon

That is an incredible accomplishment, especially in AZ with that DA, CONGRATS my friend, fantastic machine you have there, and obviously your driving skill are A plus. With that storybook pass by pass account I can see that your sky high and you should be!! What our all your mods again?

Not really sure on the record stuff.....I'd have to go look at everyone's slips that are ahead of me to see what track and DA they had.
It looks like a may have the 2nd best 60' on a stock clutch at 1.5934, as comparing the times to the listed 60' in the Z06 Fast List.
The rest would take a little research, but my gut tells me I'd be pretty darn close. The DA's make such a difference on the stock ECU tuned cars.

Yes I forgot to compliment you on the 1.5's....there is a thread about this if you'd care to go look it up.
You are in a rare group!

I think as it sits right now, I'm faster in AZ than HOXXOH has ever run....I don't think he's gone 10's yet in AZ
I'm starting to close the gap on those 3600 stalled auto 6 speed guys

ooopsss. fixed.
I actually have a slip for a 9.34@122 from a couple weeks ago.....my friends were like, Huh ????????
Track claims they were having timing light issues that night, but I'm pretty sure I ran a 9.34 from my perspective
Hey, the timing board showed it, so it must be legit

See, if you were running that license plate braket you sold me last year, you would have never broken into the 10s, with that throwing off the aerodynamics of the car.

His 60 foot time is OFF THE CHARTS , what tires were you running my friend, I know they were not the stock Goodyears.

And that's a fact, jack, on the license plate bracket.
Hopefully that super bitchin' unit has kept you on the right side of the law

Hoosier 315/35/17 drag radials. The 275/40/17 would have been my first choice as they are lighter by 4 pounds and have roughly the same heigth as the 315's, but I got a deal on them

The 315's don't fit on the standard body C6 without custom wheels though, as they rub on the outside on c6Z wheels.

Victor,
I have been keeping track of you lately. CONGRATS!! That is flying on a stock clutch. If you put on the skinnies and drain the washer fluid, pop off the front sway bar as well. Just don't go the light battery route yet since it will remove all the weight right where you need it most. When I installed my 11.5 Braille, I really noticed a loss of traction. Same goes for the rear sway bar. If you lighten the rear at all you might think about a little bigger tire. The one you are now using sounds perfect for your current setup. And HEY, if you come down for another Mt. Lemmon run, give me a shout. I missed the last one and was bummed. Oh, and don't worry, I will also be one of the "Kinda" fast guys. I can't afford to either kiss the rocks or fly the canyons.

I then moved to the 26x11.50x17 bias ply MT's earlier this year...loved the weight and how they launched, but hated how the mix of bias in the rear and radial on the front made the car sway back and forth.
This time I wanted to go Hoosier drag radial, which was just as light weight as the bias ply and have as much grip, but has better driving manners. I would have stuck with 275/40/17 size as I had no problem getting the bite out of the MT's, plus I wanted to save the weight...but I got a deal on the 315.
So far, I love them, and the three 1.59 60's (50% of my runs) I ran Friday night seem to back up all the hype surrounding them.
I hear I won't get more than 60-75 passes out of them, depending on how aggressive a burnout I perform.
