I know that there are no 3.90 differential gears for the C6 Z06, but could a gear change in the TR6060 transmission equate to a 3.90 in the differential? Has anyone done this? Is it possible?

The gear ratios used in the Z51/GS transmissions would be very close in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. In fourth the ratios in both transmissions are the same, 1:1, so no gain.

So, has anyone actually done this transmission mod? Was it worth it? How significantly did it change your "seat of the pants" feel?

I've done it, was VERY worthwhile, huge kick-in-the-pants difference while not having to compromise on the strength of the diff by using a smaller ring/pinion set-up, also still get great low rpm highway cruising.

I combined the new ratios in a RPM L-5 TR6060 with an equally modded L-5 ZR1 diff for a bullet-proof drivetrain. When a certain other Canadian did the same trans ratio mod he picked up 3 tenths so I suspect he too figure there was a "gain" to be had
