Am I the only one who likes the looks of the Zo6 over the ZR1!? I mean a lexan hood window that shows what..? a blue piece of plastic!? It's not like looking through the back window of the 360, 430, 458 Ferrari now is it!
Setting on blinged out 20's.. ehh I just don't care for it. Impressive factory power but I don't think I'd ever buy one. Much rather have a hot-rodded Z.
To the op: slap a procharger on her. Boost+ more displacement= win

Having owned two lightly modded Z06s and a stock 2010 ZR1 which I drag raced and dig the Texas Mile in all 3 cars i'll tell you exactly what it takes. It only takes headers, tune, filter and that's it. Both my Z06s were faster than my stock ZR1 in the 1/8th mile, quarter mile and standing mile. My ZR1 was always slower in every category and it was always me driving so it takes that out of the equation. I raced on many tracks many times and the Z06s were always slightly faster. 2-4mph in the QT and 3-4 in the mile.
Interesting. My personal experience with both the Z and ZR is the exact opposite.

White ZR1 with chrome wheels is the best looking one, I'd love to have that.
But I do get a lot of people telling me they'd rather have a C6 Z06 over a ZR1

no you are not.....i like the z better too as i wrote earlier, i love that monotone look with the roof same color and i love my wheels and think the 18/19 combo is perfect, because of the zr1 roof, if i ever switch as much as i love red, a few colors look better on the zr1 over red.......one being cyber grey

I've been finding it very tempting to get a ZR1 lately but I just can't justify the extra 50K or so I'd have to spend to do it after selling my Z06. Luckily, I lose all temptation as soon as I fire up my Cammed LMB Z06 and go for a ride. Maybe I'm missing something or just don't get it but I'm still very impressed with my Z06. I've yet to have any ZR1 pull on me out here in SoCal (I mean mexico.....)

No it wont. My Z06s were faster than 3 different Zr1s in the standing mile not just mine. All te Zr1s on the day I went were running 172-176. My Z06s both ran 178 with the same setup. My Zr1 trapped 125-127 in the Qt which is what most mags got. My Z06 trapped 128 all day long heat or cold. The Zr1 dropped 3mph in the heat. The Zr1 was definately harder to launch but taking time out of the equation my Zr1 never trapped faster than my Z06 with me or other people driving. I may have had a slow one but even when we tuned it it wasn't faster. I can only tell you what I experienced and i'm no slouch at the strip. I ran an 11.2@126 on stock tires as my fastest time ever. My Z06 ran 11.1@128 for it's fastest.
I do believe that you are one of three owners of both cars, whose best quarter mile times show up on both, "The C6 Z06 fast List":
27~~~ 11.281 125.61 1.77 355Spider~ 2006 details~~ thread (bolt ons drag radials)
and "The C6 ZR1 1/4 Mile and Standing Mile Fast List":
2~~~~ 11.194 125.76 1.84 355Spider~~~ 2010 details~~ thread (bolt ons non stock tires)
Incon 306 is the second one that I found:

Whats the cheapest mod to keep up with a ZR1?
Just get a ZR1! It’s a night a day diffrence
I have a ZR1 and my Son has a 2009 3LZ Z06 H/C/I, after he drove my ZR1, he fell in love with it! Likes it more then his modded Z06.
But if you’re hell-bent on keeping up with a ZR1, I guess the cheapest thing would be a 150 shot of nitrous and some real good tires drag radial should do the trick!
