THAT IS SO .....WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND COMING UP, THE OLYMPICS START FRIDAY NIGHT, NASCAR IS AT INDY SUNDAY, AND TRACK ATTACK IS IN FULL SWING, IM NOT SURE IT CAN GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT!!!!....BUT, I WILL SAY THIS, I HAVE WATCHED NASCAR MY WHOLE LIFE. AT LEAST 30 NASCAR TEAMS ARE WITHIN 20 MILES OF MY HOME. BUT FINDING KATECH AND GETTING TO KNOW JASON HARDING HAS TURNED ME INTO A ROAD RACE FAN. IT IS OBVIOUS MY EXCITEMENT LEVEL IS VERY HI, AND YES, MY NEW KATECH ZO6 IS A DREAM, JUST AS IM SURE YOURS ARE, BUT THE REAL EXCITEMENT WILL BE MEETING ALL OF YALL AND DRIVING IN A CONTROLED ENVIRONMENT THAT GIVES THE FEELING OF REALLY RACING... AGAIN, I DONT THINK IT CAN GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT

The long sleeve shirt rule has been eliminated by Autobahn. You can wear short sleeves guys/girls.

We don't have general admission. We encourage you to come out with your car. If you're a beginner it is a great event for the first timer because of all the talented instructors we have on hand. If you came out and didn't bring your car you would be very disappointed, trust me.

Man I'm off the forum for a couple of days and missed all of the fun! Jim posting pictures of Mike looking like a happy Dr. Evil . Mike making video's of Jim driving a lawnmower. And now people are offering custom embroidered luggage to Jim lol, this is going to be a blast!

So it not open to general admission?

Unfortunately, due to a family medical issue, I will not be able to make it to Track Attack this year!
Jason - Thank you very much for all the support and assistance!
Mike - I appreciate the email exchanges and chats on the phone and look forward to meeting you next year!
Dean - Thank you for offering to let me use your trailer to haul my car out. We will need to figure out how to get both cars out next year!
Have a great time at the event as it promises to be an unforgettable experience! I'll take care of the family medical issue and be there next year. Post lots of pics as I will be living vicariously through them!
Cheers,
Jeff

I think that it's a big misconception that these cars need to be set up for the track. A 100% stock vette is track worthy by it's self with fresh fluids and possibly a break pad upgrade and is exactly what you would be getting lessons in if you were at Spring Mountain which is one of Chevrolet's official training schools. If you are in the area and have the time consider attending. Run in the beginners class, get some instruction from some of the best drivers out there and get a whole new respect for what that car that you have been driving every day is actually capable of! Plus the time on the track will give you a better understanding of what if anything you want to change on your car.
I agree!! My old C5 was a blast on the track, and was practically bone stock.....except the brakes, brake pads, sway bars, shocks......well, almost stock compared to these monsters!

Ya I know, I'm looking forwards to seeing Mike's "The Beast"! I have a feeling that the only thing that's going to be stock on that thing is the corvette emblem lol!
